OnePointHealth Psychology Terms & Conditions of Service
Effective Date: July 2026
Welcome to OnePointHealth Psychology.
These Terms & Conditions explain how psychological services are provided, your rights and responsibilities as a client, and our responsibilities as your healthcare provider. They also describe how your personal information is collected, used, stored, and protected throughout your care.
By booking or attending an appointment with OnePointHealth Psychology, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Payment Policy
Unless alternative arrangements have been agreed upon, payment for psychological services is required at the time the service is provided. For diagnostic assessments, a deposit is required to secure your booking, with the remaining balance payable on the day of the assessment, unless otherwise agreed with OnePointHealth.
For clinic and telehealth appointments, payment must be received at least 72 hours before the scheduled appointment to secure your booking. Failure to make payment within this timeframe may result in cancellation or rescheduling of the appointment.
Where applicable, Medicare rebates can generally be processed immediately following your appointment using onsite Medicare claiming facilities.
At OnePointHealth, we believe everyone should have access to quality psychological care. We are committed to making our services as accessible as possible and understand that financial circumstances can sometimes be a barrier to receiving support. If you’re experiencing financial hardship or would like to discuss your options, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our team. We’re happy to explore available options with you and work together to find a solution where possible.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend your appointment, we ask that you notify us as early as possible.
Clients are required to provide at least two (2) business days’ notice when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment.
A failure to attend a scheduled appointment without sufficient notice will result in a non-attendance fee at the hourly rate of the service type. This policy also applies where approved indirect clinical work has been scheduled and cancelled without the required notice.
Repeated missed appointments may affect the availability of future bookings.
OnePointHealth recognises that emergencies and unforeseen events may occur. Cancellation fees may be reviewed at the discretion of management where exceptional circumstances exist.
Do I Need a Referral?
You do not need a referral to access private psychological services at OnePointHealth. You are welcome to book an appointment directly with one of our psychologists without a referral and receive services as a private client.
However, if you would like to access a Medicare rebate, you must have the appropriate referral documentation in place prior to your appointment (please see below).
If you are unsure whether you require a referral or which funding pathway applies to your circumstances, our team is happy to assist you in understanding your options.
Third-Party Funding for Psychological Therapies and Assessments
OnePointHealth is committed to making high-quality psychological care accessible through a range of funding options. Depending on your eligibility, psychological therapy and assessment services may be partially funded by third-party programs. OnePointHealth is not a bulk billing service.
We accept referrals and funding through a variety of pathways, including:
- Medicare, including:
- Mental Health Care Plans
- Eating Disorder Treatment and Management PlansÂ
- Chronic Condition Management PlansÂ
- Complex Neurodevelopmental Disorders and Eligible Disabilities Program (those under 25 years of age, may be eligible for rebates on select diagnostic assessments)
- National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) including:
- Self-managed participants
- NDIA-managed participants
- Plan-managed participants
- Private Health Insurance (where psychological services are included in your level of cover)
- Private (self-funded) services
Our administration team can assist you in understanding your funding options, eligibility requirements, referral processes, and any out-of-pocket costs that may apply. If you’re unsure which funding pathway is right for you, we’re happy to discuss your circumstances and help you access the most appropriate support.
Indirect Client Services
At OnePointHealth, we recognise that effective psychological care extends beyond the time spent together during appointments. To provide comprehensive, individualised, and meaningful support, psychologists may complete indirect client service work as part of your care.
Indirect client services are professional activities completed by your psychologist outside of direct appointments that are directly related to your therapeutic goals, assessment outcomes, functional needs, and overall support plan.
Examples of indirect client service work may include:
- Preparation of clinical documentation, including progress reports, psychological reports, support letters, diagnostic reports, recommendations, and summaries of therapeutic progress
- Reviewing and analysing relevant background information, previous assessments, medical history, and clinical records
- Developing individualised resources, including therapeutic materials, visual supports, social stories, and skill-development resources
- Completing clinical formulation, treatment planning, and reviewing evidence-based interventions relevant to your presentation
- Liaising and collaborating with other professionals involved in your care, including GPs, psychiatrists, allied health providers, educators, support coordinators, Local Area Coordinators (LACs), and other NDIS stakeholders
- Participating in case conferences, school meetings, NDIS planning meetings, or multidisciplinary discussions where appropriate
- Providing professional correspondence and consultation to support continuity of care.
Your psychologist will discuss the purpose, expected duration, and potential costs associated with indirect services before commencing this work. This ensures you remain informed and able to provide consent regarding the supports being delivered.
At OnePointHealth, our aim is to ensure that all clinical work undertaken on your behalf contributes meaningfully towards your goals and supports a coordinated approach to your psychological care.
