Emma has published an article in 2022 in the journal
Nutrients, where she researched where and what 1001 young adults (18-30 year olds) ate when eating outside the home. She discovered they were receiving most of their energy (calories), saturated fat and salt from independent cafes and restaurants, rather than fast food chains, showing how eating out, even at "healthy", local places are contributing to the rising obesity and chronic disease issues in Australia.
